One terrorist was shot down by the Indian Army today in Kupwara of North Kashmir in an encounter launched early morning. In another separate incident, terrorists lobbed a grenade at the Army’s patrolling party in Shopian’s Ahgam too that injured an Army personnel.

A police official said security forces launched a search operation in the forest of Kupwara following information about presence of militants there.
A grenade was lobbed towards the Army patrol party in Ahgam area of Shopian in south Kashmir, a police official said.
The area has been cordoned off, the official said.
