Steven Mullaney, the Lancashire and Nottinghamshire all-rounder, will captain the England Lions side in the upcoming tri-series against India A and West Indies A, starting on June 22 at County Ground, Derby.Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Mullaney, the seasoned batting all-rounder, has been in fine form for Nottinghamshire this season, evidenced by the 316 runs he has compiled at an average of over 50 in the ongoing Royal London One-Day Cup. His highest individual score of 124 came against Durham. Last season too he had played a pivotal role in helping the County to win the One-Day Cup. In the 2017 semifinal clash against Essex, he had cracked an impressive 75-ball 111. In addition to his aggressive batting, Mullaney also bowls medium-pace/off-cutters.The side also comprises of promising cricketers like Nick Gubbins, Sam Hain, Livingstone, Ben Foakes, Sam Curran, Tom Helm and Co. Hain, the Hong Kong-born cricketer, gave a glimpse of his quality with a valiant 144 on a sluggish pitch in a List A game versus Windies A in Antigua, earlier this year. He is also perched at top of the batting charts (426 runs at 106.5) for Warwickshire in the Royal London Cup.Tom Kohler-Cadmore, the destructive batsman, who left Worcestershire last season, has been in terrific form (451 runs) for Yorkshire in the 2018 50-over tournament. Meanwhile, Livingstone, the Lancashire captain, has already played two T20Is for England.Curran, who recently played in the Leeds Test, Helm (13 scalps for Middlesex this season), Craig Overton (12 scalps this season), Fisher, the Yorkshire swing bowler, and Topley, the left-arm pacer, will form the pace attack.
